President Trump just told TIME he "might" take government stakes in OpenAI and Anthropic, copying his Intel deal.
But he ruled out nationalizing frontier labs and he described Nvidia the same way, saying Jensen Huang could sell a restricted chip only if the US took a cut.
Trump also said Amodei's views differed from media portrayals, but warned that companies seeking regulation risk being put out of business.
